Appeal
We are all working together in order to formulate a common
consciousness on children's rights. This will not take place spontaneously, or through
legal education alone. It will instead require the creation of a common view for the
implementation of these rights within a specific context. We are trying to relate to the
wailing emanating out of that context, expressing our conscience through the hearts and
minds of field- workers implementing programs in accordance with the treaty on
children's rights. As long as I work and you do, why don't we sit together to determine
the map of the context in which we work and its variables. Let us determine our common
goals, and raise the banner of change and progress in a unified step forward. Our common
work might create new common goals for a new step forward, changing reality anew. This
continuous change brings forward feelings of happiness and loyalty.

The Center for the Protection and Development of the Child and his Rights
(PDCR) continues its sustained and persistent efforts to promptly contribute to solving
the issue of street children and marginal work children. In these efforts, PDCR resorts to
full coordination and cooperation with civil associations and government agencies. The
first step of City Initiative project took place on November 23, 1996, asserting our
orientation on field-work. The execution of the project - at the social and organizational
levels, and through civil and governmental cooperation - gave birth to an important
societal event, namely, the creation of a central network and a group of regional and
local networks for the project. |
