Opening of the Exhibition of Street Children's Drawings.

-The Center for the Protection and Development of the Child and his Rights (PDCR) organized a workshop from 2-4 May 1999 on the future search for the phenomenon of street children and marginal work children. The workshop was attended by a group of experts, specialists and university professors, as well representatives of international agencies and civil associations who worked on the establishment of a future search to remedy that phenomenon. 

- PDCR organized its basic training workshop - stage two of the City Initiative Project For the Protection of Street Children and Marginal Work Children during the period 22-27 July 1999 for people working at civil associations concerned with street children and marginal work children. 

- The General Federation of Private Associations and Institutions held a broad meeting on 29 May 1999, in which Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak participated. The aim of the meeting has been to push forward the developmental role of the Federation, activate voluntary civil work in Egypt, establish a strategy for social work, and design policies for the next stage.
